Prime Minister Edi Rama has continued his argument again, trumpeting that the reform in justice came only thanks to the vision and determination of the SP and not because of the internationals.
During his speech at the extended Assembly of the Socialist Party in Vlora, Rama said that it was the SP that decided to give up the justice system and let it be separated from politics. According to him, it was this determination of the SP that, with the help of international organizations, achieved this result that we have today.
He further added that despite the accusations coming from the opposition, the new justice is not captured by the government and that their claims are ridiculous.
" And how we opened the path of justice, we opened it by reforming justice. We opened the way by agreeing to do something that no government has been able to do for a thousand and one reasons since 1912 by agreeing to remove the hands of the executive, legislative power from justice. Acknowledging that in Albania there is an independent body that exercises its constitutional duties and rights to guarantee that everyone is equal before the law.
If you look at the judgment in Strasbourg, it is the same thing that we have said, thanking that the court is Strasbourg so that they say that Edi Rama caught him too. The truth is that we have not caught anything, we simply and only stand on the principle side of this story and stand up to those we have undertaken. We have undertaken to make it possible for a justice to be born in Albania that does not see left to right but treats everyone the same and hits regardless of how high you are, this is what is happening. It makes me laugh when they say thank you that SPAK came because if it was for them, they are all the same. If we were all the same, SPAK would never have come because SPAK and the entire new force was made by the SP's will to give up control of justice ," said Rama.
