The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has declared that the disobedience of the opposition in the Assembly will continue, as he warned that there will be no normal sessions.
In an interview for "Syri TV", Bardhi said that all opposition MPs have agreed to continue the action in Parliament.
" In principle, no act is excluded from the extreme acts of sacrifice of the opposition MPs until the fulfillment of our demands. All these options have been put on the table and have been approved in principle by the DP deputies. As I said, it will be the group that will decide whether we will escalate our action in the Assembly. So, it is a decision-making that is taken by the parliamentary group, but each of us has expressed the readiness to go through each of the scenarios that you mentioned.
What I want to confirm is that the parliamentary group has judged that the priority at that moment will have to be the confrontation with Edi Rama's regime. Each of us is aware, that is, all 43 deputies are aware that only the merger of the DP would strengthen the DP. The continuation of the conflict and the division within the DP and the opposition itself damages the DP, weakens the DP, therefore it should be a topic of discussion in future meetings. As for the place where the meetings are held, the place where we hold the meetings has zero value ," said Bardhi.
He confirmed the meetings for the union of the opposition, but excluded Lulzim Basha from this union, saying that he is comfortable with the regime of Edi Rama.
" The goal is for the entire opposition front to unite in a broad opposition political coalition. Mr. Mediu, Mr. Duka, I meet regularly and the main topic of discussion is how the DP and the opposition as a whole should be strengthened. Even during these days, on a daily basis, we meet to discuss what is the best formula to unite and strengthen the opposition.
...I have not seen Mr. Basha's political activity in the opposition during this period. We are talking about an opposition coalition, that is, about the union of the factors that are in opposition to Edi Rama.
Some have chosen to be comfortable with Edi Rama's government and of course in this opposition front there is no place for those who choose comfort in spite of confronting Edi Rama's regime. Mr. Basha can say that I am the king of England, but that should not mean that the real king should vacate his work premises.
In politics, what you say must correspond to what you do. Because you can declare yourself the leader of the opposition, but at the same time be in cooperation and alliance with the government. So, first, Mr. Basha must share his mind on where he is positioned. I have seen Basha completely non-existent and in comfort and convenience that does not suit someone who is in the opposition. So, the people are at war with Edi Rama's regime, Basha is comfortable with Edi Rama's regime ", said Bardhi.
