Ulsi Manja has reacted immediately after leaving the post of Minister of Justice and his appointment as chairman of the Laws Committee in the Assembly. In a public statement, he described this return as "a return to my natural home", adding that he is looking forward to starting a new political chapter.
" It has been an honor and a life lesson to serve as a minister, under the leadership of Prime Minister Edi Rama, to whom I am grateful for the unstinting support and trust given in these nearly 17 years of my political journey in the Socialist Party ," said Manja, thanking the ministry staff and collaborators.
He also congratulated his successor, Besfort Lamallari, who took office as Minister of Justice, expressing confidence that he will continue the work he has started. “ I look forward to starting this new chapter, to reform the legal framework and to bring Albania even closer to the European Union ,” Manja emphasized.
This move marks an important rotation within the Socialist Party, where Rama has decided to change the balance between the executive and the Assembly, giving Manja a key role in leading the legislative process.

Returning to my natural home – the Parliament of Albania, as Chairman of the Laws Committee.
Today, at the National Assembly of the Socialist Party, we laid the foundations of the vision Albania 2030 in Europe. For me, this is a special moment of returning to the Assembly, after a wonderful period at the head of the Ministry of Justice.
It has been an honor and a life lesson to serve as a minister, under the leadership of Prime Minister Edi Rama, to whom I am grateful for the unstinting support and trust given in these nearly 17 years of my political journey in the Socialist Party. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my collaborators in the ministry and subordinate institutions – you are an irreplaceable asset to the Albanian state.
I would also like to express my special gratitude to my ministerial colleagues, with whom we shared the work, challenges and achievements during these four years. The team spirit we built together was crowned with success on the path of integration and in the plebiscite victory of May 11.
Congratulations to my friend, the new Minister Besfort Lamollari, convinced that he will carry forward our joint work with dedication.
I can't wait to start this new chapter, to reform the legal framework and bring Albania even closer to the European Union.
