Elisa Spiropali has reacted after being appointed Foreign Minister.
In a post on social media, she states that her new position is an honor and a responsibility, while adding that Albania's integration into the EU by 2023 is a historic mission.
Spiropali served as Speaker of the Assembly, she officially took office on July 30, 2024.
“Towards Albania 2030!
It is an honor and a responsibility for me that, after leading the Albanian Parliament, I have the trust of Prime Minister Rama and the Socialist Assembly to lead the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The integration of Albania into our natural European family by 2030 is not simply a political objective, but our historical mission.
The prestige, strength and dignity of Albania and Albanians everywhere are, have been and will be the duty and honor of my life.
With unwavering faith and many challenges ahead, we walk together towards the European future.
