The former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, has arrived at the Special Court for the next session of the "Gërdeci" case.
In today's session, it is expected to hear the answers of the experts of the act-economic-financial expertise on the questions asked in writing by the parties.
The former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, is accused of abuse of office by the SPAK in relation to the tragedy of Gërdec, where 26 were killed and hundreds were injured from the explosion of the weapons dismantling workshop.
Mediu has denied the accusations against him, stating that he has always followed the law during his duties.
We remind you that SPAK registered the criminal proceedings against the former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu, taking him as a defendant for the 2008 incident in Gërdec where 26 people lost their lives and many others were injured.
The charges for the criminal offenses: "Abuse of duty", carried out in cooperation, as well as "Abuse of duty" in cooperation with a military subject, provided by the Criminal Code and the Military Criminal Code, are burdensome.
