Won Himara, Rama provokes Athena with the congratulatory video for Vangjel Tavo

SP candidate Vangjel Tavo has defeated his rival with 1477 more votes. Tavo has managed to collect a total of 5022 votes, while Petro Gjikuria has received 3545 votes.

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted after the victory of SP candidate Vangjel Tavo in Himare Municipality. Rama has described Tavo's victory as spectacular and significant for the Socialist Party. In response, the Prime Minister has also attached a video, which seems quite provocative for Athens.

" Congratulations to the new mayor of Himara for the spectacular victory, the satisfaction of the significant support for the Socialist Party in yesterday's elections, as well as the determination to turn #Himara2030 into one of the most sought-after destinations in the Mediterranean, where in the first place all those who work in the tourism industry in Greece, return for better wages and for the irreplaceable air of the homeland, I wish you all a week as peaceful as possible", writes Rama.

SP candidate Vangjel Tavo has defeated his rival with 1477 more votes. Tavo has managed to collect a total of 5022 votes, while Petro Gjikuria has received 3545 votes. Tavo received 58.83% of the votes, while the opposition candidate of the coalition Together We Win received 41.17%.

The election of Vangjel Tavos as the new mayor of the Himar Municipality has thus ended the 15-month battle between the majority and the opposition (Athens), which began with the arrest of Fredi Beleri on May 12, 2023.

As for the votes, at the end of the counting it turned out that Vangjel Tavo received a total of 5022 votes, or 1200 votes more than Jorgo Goro in last year's elections.
