The mandated members of the Democratic Party had a meeting this Sunday with the secretary of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, regarding the elections for the municipality of Tirana.
After the meeting, Flamur Noka focused on the opposition's candidacy for mayor of the capital, saying:
"I assure you that it is a matter of days. We are the opposition and a democratic force, so we follow the steps and procedures, we consult and then we decide. All of this is a matter of days and very soon you will have the name of the opposition candidate. As you can see, yesterday Saturday and today Sunday, we are again continuing with intensive meetings with all parliamentary forces and then with a consultation with others, to finally reach the final candidate and the goal that Tirana needs. The parliamentary parties that are excluded are only the radical left of Arlind Qorri", he said.
Meanwhile, PL secretary Tedi Blushi says that the opposition's candidacy will be inclusive.
"The opposition candidacy will be inclusive and not an appointed candidacy as happened with the Socialist Party candidate. In the face of the COVID candidate, we are choosing the right vaccine, which will heal the capital once and for all.
"Our vaccine against Edi Rama's COVID will certainly be a candidacy that will return the Municipality of Tirana to the service of citizens and will put an end to lawlessness, corruption and crime in this institution," Blushi said.
