The democratic MP Gazment Bardhi has reacted after the decision of the Tirana Court to annul the decision of the Assembly for the exclusion of 24 opposition MPs from the plenary sessions.
For Bardhi, this decision is the right of battle of the expelled deputies to return constitutionality to the Assembly.
He once again condemns the surrounding of the Parliament with the metal fence and the Guard of the Republic to prevent the entry of the deputies. According to him, those 24 MPs were unlawfully expelled and unlawfully obstructed by the security forces.
" The UNLAWFUL conviction of the opposition, confirmed today also by the Court, proves the justice of the PD MPs' battle to restore constitutionality and order in the activities of the Assembly of Albania. Unfortunately, under the leadership of Elisa Spiropali, the Assembly has returned as never before previously in a nursery of lawlessness, where the force of arrogance and brutal violation of the Constitution operates.
Surrounding the Assembly with iron wire and hundreds of Security Forces, to prevent 24 opposition MPs, in violation of the Constitution and the Law, from exercising their duties, is only worthy of authoritarian regimes and never for a NATO member country. and a candidate country for the European Union.
We are eagerly waiting for the voice to come to condemn the unconstitutional act, to anyone who unjustly blamed the opposition and asked it to play its role within the Assembly, while the truth was that the opposition was being hindered by punishments WITHOUT LAW, with iron wire and the Security Force, to enter the Assembly.
It is the first case in history that opposition MPs are punished with a regulation that was annulled by the Constitutional Court, ignoring its decision to consider the exclusion measures as not proportional.
Those who UNLAWFULLY prevented the opposition MPs from exercising their constitutional function with the Security Forces for about 40 days will be held responsible! "- said Bardhi.
