Granit Gjana the new prefect of Kukës, Albert Halilaj leaves

Granit Gjana will be the new Prefect of Kukës. The government has taken a number of decisions today and one of them is the change in the Kukës Prefecture, where Albert Halilaj was dismissed and Granit Gjana was appointed in his place.

The latter currently held the position of deputy mayor of Kukës Municipality. Also, Gjana took over the management of the municipality after the scandal of Safet Gjic, who was dismissed from his position.

He has a long career in this municipality and the Prime Minister decided to entrust him with the keys to the Prefecture. On September 24, Kukësi will hold new elections.

Granit Gjana was born in 1992. He has a long experience in the Information Technology sector. He graduated first in Computer Science and then in Business Administration. In 2016, he served as an Assistant Lecturer at Tirana Business University College. In 2019, he was appointed Director of the Cabinet, Kukës Municipality and then vice president.
