"The debate within the SP must make sense", Erion Braçe talks about clashes in the party

Socialist Party MP, Erion Braçe, spoke about the situation and debates within the Socialist Party.

During his speech, Braçe stated that it is normal to have debates related to the way power is exercised.

According to him, these debates do not and should not cause any concern. He stated that for a long time now, discussions have not taken place in the SP group, but laws are simply passed on the sidelines.

" Speaking and debating within the Socialist Party is a normal thing. It should be normal even though for some time now, the essential debate, the debate with substance, the debate on issues that are directly related to the way we exercise power or the policies that we undertake while we are in power, has not taken place, to put it simply.

We also close the group meeting on the state budget by saying that this is the budget, there are no changes to it, we continue moving forward. That is, the group has time to be informed, not to think.

"So it happens that someone speaks, someone else speaks, someone else speaks. There is debate about what is being said and so on, of course it is healthy. It is not something that causes concern or should cause concern. No, it is completely normal, it has to happen, it has to be continuous, it has to be sustainable and of course there has to be a product at the end ," he said.

Brace praised the work done for EU integration, but according to him, other problems cannot be neglected.

" The Socialist Party, but also the parliamentary group, are doing something well, which has to do with Albania's integration into the European Union. There is a lot of effort, there is a lot of sacrifice, there is a lot of dedication, there is a lot of attention there. But this does not mean that fundamental issues such as economic issues, social issues, tax issues, the great issues of inequality are left behind ," he said on "Euronews Albania".

Asked if Rama will expel Spiropali from the group, Braçe replied that this is a decision made by the party and not the individual.

" The personalization of power is also suffered by the government, and we as MPs, we also suffer from the miniscocracy and the dictatorship. There is inequality between those who are both MPs and ministers and have the entire state hierarchy with them. What is the problem with talking about this? Maybe it is a personal relationship between the two, if the lady accepts it, but we are all an investment of the SP, we are all in deficit towards the SP, the SP has given more to us than we have. I am talking about a debate within the SP, I do not need these from the outside… We must say things to the face about the things that are not going well and have the common sense to accept them, because it is not sacrilege to accept criticism of the government… The party excludes, not individuals. I think the SP does not exclude ", said Braçe.

Braçe has shown ambition for the mayor of Tirana and has increased the dose of criticism for several months. On the other hand, Elisa Spiropali has not spared criticism, but her reactions have been more limited. Rama has warned her that he will expel her from the group if she speaks. Spiropali challenged her directly on social networks. To date, there has been no development.
