Fatime Kryemadhi, Pirro Xhixho and Ema Çoku will be tried in a shortened procedure, while the process against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi will continue with a normal trial.
The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has decided to split the "Meta" file, separating the court proceedings for some of the defendants in the case related to charges of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets.
The decision was made during the next session held this Monday at the GJKKO, where the court accepted the request for a shortened trial for Fatime Kryemadhi, Pirro Xhixho and Ema Çoku. Meanwhile, the trial against former president Ilir Meta and his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, will continue with normal procedure.
The summary trial means that the case is reviewed based on the acts administered by the prosecution, without a full investigative process in the courtroom. If the defendants are found guilty, they receive a one-third reduction in sentence.
After the hearing, Monika Kryemadhi considered the division of the file as a positive development.
" It's positive that we don't have to take other people with us ," she told the media.
In the same session, SPAK continued presenting evidence and facts from the investigative file related to the CEZ-DIA affair and LSI lobbying in the US.
During his speech in the hall, Meta attempted to distance himself from the actions of his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, stating that criminal responsibility is individual and that he cannot be held responsible for actions committed without his knowledge.
" Out of respect for the court, I must clarify that even Mrs. Gjoka understood this story in the preliminary hearing. I have a divorced status, I cannot hold you responsible for what Kryemadhi did in the past without my knowledge. My responsibility is individual. Show me an expense that I made. I even got the watch 20 years ago. I don't attach much importance to these things ," Meta declared in the courtroom.
The former president's statement came at a time when SPAK was reading evidence and communications from the investigative file related to the CEZ-DIA affair, LSI's lobbying in the US, and relations with businessman Ardian Shatku.
According to the prosecution, Meta and Kryemadhi exerted influence on the introduction of Shatku's company into the fiber optic sector.
" Meta and Kryemadhi have undertaken to exert pressure on the CEZ-DIA issue so that Ardian Shatku's company can enter the market ," declared SPAK prosecutor Sotir Kllapi.
Episodes related to alleged expenses of Monika Kryemadhi were also read in the hall.
" The boss used 234 thousand dollars from Ardian Shatku's cards ," said the prosecutor.
During the hearing, there were also debates about the live broadcast of the process and the presence of the public in the courtroom. Meta's lawyers opposed the restriction of the media and the manner in which the former president was kept in the glass cage.
The court rejected the request for live broadcast of the hearing, arguing that it could violate the principle of innocence and the privacy of witnesses.

Në ç'menyrë është përmbyshur 200 mije etj.etj. për korrektese kam degjuar në një emision televiziv kur diskutohej për CEZ- DIA që përfaqësuesi i Ilir Metës në Bordin e CEZ-it në datë 25.11.2010 ka kundershtuar nënshkrimin e kontratës me DIA-n! Nëse kjo është e vërtetë, atëherë provohet që Ilir Meta nuk ka patur asnjë rol në këtë kontratë. Ky do të përbente skandal për një aferë që ka mbi 11 vjet që përflitet nëpër Media, fryhet, ç'fryhet, nuk ka njeri që nuk felt, por mesa kuptohet të gjithë flasin kot, përfshirë të fortët e Prokurorisë dhe dhënësit e palodrejtësisë!

Po ashtu te konsideroje dhe deponimet e deshmitareve si puna e Kastriot Ismsilaj dhe te tjere. Po qe se ata deshmojne se koke cepi Metaj u ka kerkuar dhe marre para kjo eehte e mjafturdhme qe ky koke cep nga Cepani apo Skrapari ngado qe eshte te futet ne burg te pakten 15 vjet e ti sekuestrohet e gjithe pasuria qe ka shperndare duke fillu me at katnarin humorist.
