Democratic Party Municipal Council member Ilir Alimehmeti commented on the Democratic Party's national protest.
Alimehmeti said that the protest organized by the Democratic Party is a national development. According to him, every political force in the country should be against Edi Rama.
"Protest is national development. This is because here every political force must come together, against the overthrow of Edi Rama. He must be overthrown an hour ago. Then every political party makes its own calculations, everyone wants to achieve the most optimal result. The protests were very necessary ," Alimehmeti said in an interview with Klan News.
The moderator asked Alimehmet about a photo of him from the National Council meeting, where he is seen standing at the back. He asked Alimehmet if he had sat at the back as a sign of revenge for joining the Salianj movement. Alimehmet replied that the media allegations were untrue and that he had sat at the back because he had arrived a little late to the meeting due to traffic.
" My sitting at the end of the meeting in the National Council was not revenge at all. A photo was published, as if I was at the end of the line and this is news. I was late for that meeting due to traffic and sat there. Regarding the exclusion of Salianja, I do not agree with the news that is made in the media. The DP is waking up, it is doing the necessary analysis. I do not see the communication part through the media as appropriate. Berisha made a great awakening through the national protest. The problem of this country is that it is being stolen every day. The DP has movements within the party ", said Alimehmeti.
Although Ilir Alimehmeti had several times expressed support for Salijanj in his movements, he seems to have withdrawn, saying that there are currents within the DP that are also critical of the internal situation.
