Former Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Nikos Xydakis seems to be one of the only officials shedding light on the past of the elected mayor of Himara.
Xydakis says that Beleri is not only not an innocent man, but has a rather dark history. Speaking to ERT, Xydakis said that Beleri is not an innocent man and that it should not become a problem for diplomatic relations between Albania and Greece.
