In a meeting with the citizens of Vlora, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, made strong statements against Prime Minister Edi Rama, calling him a "traitor" and vowing to "remove him from Albania and take him to Belgrade."
Berisha said that Rama is isolated internationally and accused him of trying to suppress the opposition and turn the country into a narco-state. He stressed that every Albanian must stand on the right side of history, ending his speech with the chants “Long live Vlora, long live Albania!”
" Every Albanian must stand on the right side of history. Rama is in the red circle of the free countries, he tried to eliminate the opposition, he tried for an Albania without opposition. He is worse branded than Lukashenko in Europe. Four international resolutions declare Albania a narco-state, declare Rama's state a joint venture with crime, declare Edi Rama's justice influenced by politics. When I came to Vlora, I swore before Ismail Qemali that I would take this traitor, Rama, to Belgrade. Edi Rama, you are in the red circle, the end awaits you. Rama, you cannot play with the freedom and dignity of Albanians, long live Vlora, long live Albania ," he said.
