Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, during a conversation with followers on social media, compared the patronage activists to the former security forces of the dictatorship. He said that the patronage activists will be declared a state crime.
"I assure you that we will examine patronage and its effects to declare it a state crime and punish it in the most deserving form."
You are absolutely right. The patronage system today is absolutely the sister, or equal, of the state security system during the communist dictatorship.
"Therefore, I guarantee that they will be punished for their criminal activity," said Berisha.
