The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, has stated that Albania for 2023 once again recorded the highest inequality between a minority that benefits from tax breaks and a majority that pays the heaviest burden.
Tabaku adds that there is also inequality between regions, as according to her, in 12 counties, the majority of the north continues to have lower incomes.
Regarding the average salary, the MP writes that it is lower than inflation. Tabaku writes that the purchasing power of Albanian families goes to make ends meet, as inflation has particularly affected the food basket.
"The economic crisis is the crisis of hope. Albania for 2023 once again registered the highest inequality between a minority that benefits from tax breaks and the majority that pays the heaviest burden. In addition, the disparity between regions is increasingly felt. Among 12 Most northern counties continue to have the lowest incomes.
Kukësi, although it has been propagandized that it has benefited from an airport, has the lowest per capita income. The average salary is lower than inflation. All this when EUROSTAT reports that 31% of GDP goes to basic expenses of the food basket. It is a clear sign that the purchasing power of Albanian families goes to make ends meet, as inflation has particularly affected the food basket.
Who is the solution to a government that unfairly taxes the majority?! Propaganda! Tax 95% of Albanians, impoverish ¾ of them, hit the middle class and spend the budget on PPP contracts won by an unfairly pampered minority," writes Tabaku.
