Journalist Lutfi Dervishi stated that Albanian political parties are not only not democratic, but they also violate and do not respect the law.
Dervishi said that it was a fatal decision of the Constitutional Court in 2000 that prohibited the Supreme State Audit Office from controlling the finances of political parties.
"When you show little democracy and order within a political party, then how will you apply this to society? The second element, political parties are not only not democratic, but they are also the most irresponsible in the face of the law. It was a fatal decision of the Constitutional Court in 2000 that also prohibited the High State Control from controlling the finances of political parties. Let's say that in this quarter of a century they have found a village without a dog and roam without a stick," said the journalist.
According to him, "this has created a challenging model towards institutions."
"Even today, you have politicians who want to challenge the authority of the court in the courtroom. From the last 100 years, the successful model we have is the autocratic model. So, we are not looking for the president, we are looking for the leader. Even when it comes to the issue of competition, in our subconscious we say "what does this guy want here? This guy is not a leader, this guy has no charisma". So, in our consciousness, you are looking for the strong man or the strong lady who will lead", added Dervishi.
