The spokeswoman of the Democratic Party, Mirela Karabina, speaking about the situation created in the parliamentary life for weeks, called the deputies of the group of Berisha and Bardhi as small people.
In an interview for "Report TV", she stated that their actions in the Assembly show that they have completely lost their reason.
" Not only are they not politicians, but very small people. It seems they have completely lost their reason. These are acts of survival and they have lost points even from the few people who may have supported them earlier" , she said.
According to the DP spokeswoman, the Bardhi and Berisha group of deputies should have put aside their violent action on the day when the session for the approval of the 2024 budget was held.
" It is unfortunate, the 2024 budget was being passed, which is directly related to the lives of citizens, where will the money go, will there be an increase in wages, pensions, will there be funds for agriculture... IPARD funds do not go to agriculture. That group has lost its way, undermined the discussion on the budget, causing it to pass very smoothly, for 4 minutes. DP has raised concerns about why this budget does not go towards improving the lives of citizens. This part of the opposition is not in the interest of the citizens. PD was betrayed by this part of the opposition. Citizens want solutions. Citizens want to know why this budget will go towards improving their lives. The Reestablishment Group have lost their compass ," Karabina said.
Regarding the proposal of small parties for the creation of an Opposition Federation, Karabina said that the possibility of cooperation with opposition forces for the benefit of Albanian citizens is not excluded. As for the possibility of possible negotiations with Bardhi's group, she said that DP has the door open for people who want to follow DP's agenda.
" The DP has its own agenda, anyone who feels like themselves has an open door in the DP. We have a movement and grouping (of Berisha) that has been shrinking with revolutions that never start ," the spokeswoman underlined.
Regarding the organization within the party, she announced that at the end of the year, the elections for the second levels of management will be completed, while in January, the elections for the heads of DP branches in the districts will be held.
