The Chairman of the Investigative Commission for TIMS data, Ervin Salinji, commented on the decisions that were taken at the last meeting, where, among other things, the investigative plan was approved.
Salianji said that the commission has given the first results, and that he is convinced that by the end there will be a complete product.
"What has happened is that the Commission has no impasse and has started investigations since yesterday. In the investigative plan are 90% of the witnesses who were requested by us from the beginning. SP has made a law for commissions that limits the rights of the opposition, and even though they have limited it, they are still not satisfied.
In this context, there were 3 different proposals yesterday. There was no agreement on a common plan and I proposed that the SP expert's plan be proposed, even the majority members did not want to vote on it. As a product of this commission is the detention and arrest of the former director, Ervin Muca. I believe that this commission will have a product. July 21 is the deadline for us to complete the investigation ," Salianji told News24.
Regarding the possibility of not receiving information because the majority does not want an investigation, Salianji said that the institutions have a legal obligation to return answers and so far, according to him, they have all returned answers, except for the prime minister.
He emphasized that Rama should be present, as he previously stated that he did not intervene in the TIMS system. Salainji said the investigation will continue with the persons who are helpful.
" This is not to their liking. The SP may like to avoid this investigation, but we have submitted the request for this commission to the Assembly for 8 months and the SP kept it blocked.
Institutions are obliged to respond by law, and so far the one who has not responded is the prime minister. The Prime Minister must be present, because he previously gave a statement that there was no interference in the TIMS system and now it turned out that there was. In order not to block, we will continue the investigation with the necessary persons" , he added.
