The new government cabinet's exploits are endless. Edi Rama tried to put a man from the field in charge of health, but it seems that Evis Sala is coming out on top.
After taking a 2-week vacation immediately after taking office, the minister seems to be completely unaware of the reality of healthcare. She continues to be out and about and talks about surreal realities. In our hospitals there are no beds, no medicines, and some are even expired according to the Albanian Supreme Audit Office, but the minister talks about introducing artificial intelligence into healthcare. The statement was made at a summit in London where she attended.
" The hospital of the future will have an invisible technological infrastructure, a unified patient data center, zero administrative burden for professionals, and a culture of human-AI collaboration, where patient care is at the center, " she said.
In the panel dedicated to the integration of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, alongside renowned international names, Minister Sala shared concrete examples of the use of AI to reduce clinician fatigue and administrative burden in radiology, including the automation of repetitive tasks, optimization of planning, automatic generation of reports, and natural language processing for medical documentation.
