After a marathon session held the day before, the Assembly will meet again today for a session that is also expected to have a busy agenda.
In today's agenda, it is foreseen to approve the New Electoral Code, the changes of which are after the agreement between the DP and the SP.
According to the changes in the law on the Electoral Code, the list of deputies will not be completely open. 1/3 will be closed and exclusive to the party chairman and not subject to preferential voting. While the candidates in 2/3 of the list will fight to win even one vote more than the others, which will automatically give them the right to climb the ranking and hope for the victory of the mandate. With the New Electoral Code, the diaspora voting was also opened.
Specifically, each political party will have two lists in each district, where one list is chosen by the president and which is not changed since the candidates of that list do not enter the race at all, and a list of candidates that will be selected by the voters.
Translated into numbers, with a simple calculation, something more than 100 deputies will be determined by the presidents and not changed, while less than 40 seats will be chosen by the voters.
Today, the new law on 'State Police' as well as the law on 'Weapons Production' are also scheduled to be approved.
The final report of the Investigative Commission on TIMS data is also expected to be approved on the agenda.
