MP Asllan Dogjani commented on Ervin Salianji's move, after holding a meeting with dissatisfied DP MPs.
He stated that opposing voices have never been banned in the Democratic Party, while emphasizing that debate has never been lacking in the DP.
"I am not for stopping the free voice, let Salianji speak and let others come out and speak, we are in a democracy. We are fighting to preserve these few standards that are left of democracy. We have a regime here, they came to power through exploitation and violence. In the DP there is room for debate. Debate is not forbidden there, everyone has the right to give their opinion. Yes, the DP should do an analysis and open the party. I go to coffee with every democrat without any problem, but we must all fight the fight together. But we must have free elections in Albania, because from that day on, change will begin in the country.
In a political family there should be debates and discussions, because it serves politics and the party, and even more so in a party like the DP, to be honest, I have been there since 2013 and the debate has never been absent. I was the first to come out against the electoral code and I have foreseen how this code would serve the DP. If Berisha were to say that within the DP there is no voice and no one is allowed to speak, then it would be a big problem," he told "Report TV".
Dogjani stressed that the Democratic Party needs a reorganization. According to him, the opposition needs to do something to show the international community that there is a regime in this country.
"At this moment we have problems, we need to reorganize the party, analyze, we need to see where we went wrong and what went wrong, but if we are still facing this regime that will not have fair elections, we will still not win. I do not want Albania to burn and weapons to be taken up so that the DP comes to power. The opposition must do something to show the international community that there is a regime in this country. I think we need to deal with the scandals and thefts of this government. After the elections, an analysis will be made in every session and meetings will also be held with the citizens", said the MP.
