The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared in Parliament that Prime Minister Edi Rama intends to control the tenders of the National Agency for the Information Society through legal changes.
He linked this issue to the interests of a family member of Rama.
During his speech, Berisha accused the majority of interfering in the procedures provided for by the Constitution for suspension from office in certain cases. According to him, the majority is using procedural mechanisms to avoid the implementation of constitutional provisions and to protect the prime minister.
"Even the most savage invader would make an effort to mask such a hostile, humiliating activity towards the citizens of the country, in which you pledge today that you will create a shield for Edi Rama and his criminal organization to steal, steal and continue to steal. What you are doing is a great crime against the constitution and the rule of law. What you are doing is a fatal blow to the rule of law, to the interests of every Albanian citizen.
Beyond any kind of conception, at a time when this constitution provides for suspension not in one case, but in 4-5 cases. And now you, those for whom the constitution determines suspension to protect Edi Rama, to deceive Albanians that you have the law only for Rama, insert the anti-suspension shield. Do you understand how ridiculous you are becoming. This is unimaginable.
Those you have introduced are suspended by the constitution, and you are seeking to prevent the suspension through procedure. Today you have brought the Linda law. It is the law of Linda of Surrel and the ANA. The baxhanaku wants to take the tenders privately, those that he took by hostage, he will take the tenders of the ANA by law,” said Berisha.
In conclusion, Berisha emphasized that the proposed changes, according to him, violate the functioning of the rule of law and transparency in the management of public funds.
