The plenary session of the Assembly was accompanied by tensions and harsh retorts between majority and opposition MPs.
Socialist Party MP, Zegjine Çaushi, has responded to the head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, after the latter described Fier MPs as "hounds" of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Çaushi lashed out at Bardhi in the Assembly, saying, among other things: You came to Fier just to twist your body like a tomato perch.
The SP MP further responded by saying, 'You should be grateful to me that the doctor didn't remove you from the district just to please me.'
"Thank you dear Gazo for finally mentioning me. Look me in the eye. Look at the stars, you came to Fier to drink gin, at 2 am and to light fireworks. And to eat meatballs at the neighborhood bar. There was no Fierak to open the door for you. You went to your grandparents in Patos and they didn't bother to look at you at all. You left for Roskovec before you went, why didn't you go to those few democrats who gave those votes for Gent, this is where Gent should be. You should be grateful to me that the doctor didn't take you away just to please me. I will remember a phrase you said to Berisha, you are a man who only came to Fier to twist, with that body of yours like a tomato perch", said Çaushi.
