"Lili was my destiny"/ From meeting his wife to his children, Sali
Sali Berisha

Leader of the Democratic Party and former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has recounted his life in 360 degrees, from youth and family, politics and challenges, profession and passions.

He revealed his acquaintance with his wife, Liri Berisha, and their married life, while also talking about their children.

"Lili was my destiny. A year and a half, two after we met, we got married. We didn't have a wedding. No, we didn't, the conditions were like that. She was from a family with traditions, and my parents loved her very much. We were both doctors. She was busier, because in addition to work, she also had a home. She was passionate about medicine, but I suggested pediatrics to her. She fell in love with her profession, she loved it very much, because a child reflects things more than an adult, so she is in love with her profession. With all the desire I had to help her, I couldn't help her. And I watched my mother-in-law demanding the same things from her son as she demanded from her daughters, and I saw this as positive," said the leading democrat.

And for children he added:

"I was very close to my children, but I didn't have much time. And I tried to compensate for it as much as I could. We took vacations within the country, we went to Tropoja, but my favorite vacation decision was Pogradec. We went there 13 summers in a row with my family, where we stayed with a hospitable family from Pogradec. I went there with my children, it was my favorite place, a quiet family life. I didn't influence the children in their choices, I even wanted to suggest medicine to them, but I didn't influence them. Both of them were educated in Tirana and did their masters abroad in their respective branches. Argita was no longer given the right to study Law in 1990 and in 1991 he switched from Biology to the Faculty of Law. Shkëlzen also followed the path of justice, Advocacy, because it was trendy at the time .
