DP MP, Luan Baçi, says that Sali Berisha should be the prime minister of the country after the 2025 elections.
Baçi said that the list of candidates for deputy will be determined by primaries within the party, and not by Berisha or Bardhi. He asked the 10 MPs of the Basha group to reflect and join the Re-establishment DP, as the Bardhi group did.
"The only problem that I see that needs to be repaired is that even those deputies who continue to oppose the PD and the Democrats, do not have time to wait, they must reflect immediately to come to the Democrats, even these 10 MP. We have never been apart at all. Even these other fellow MPs, there are 10 of them, should reflect and come to the Democrats, because it is certain that they have no future where they are, even though Basha continues to deceive them. He has the gift of deception. Mayor Berisha, with the establishment of the special structure, with three representatives of the opposition, it was proposed that one of these seats should be for the still unrepresented deputies. The fact that they refused to be a part shows that they have a different mission from the democrats, to be the opposition within the opposition, so that Rama will often use us. The deputy said that his personal opinion is that Berisha should be the prime minister of the right-wing government, while adding that the list of deputies is determined by the membership.
"A shadow government cannot emerge from the chairman of the party, or the structure, the government is determined by the vote of the democrats. Berisha has said publicly that the prime minister of the right-wing government will go to the vote, who will be the prime minister. Berisha has every right to compete for prime minister. If you want my personal opinion, I am for the next prime minister of the DP to be Sali Berisha. In all the perspectives that I see, he will be the best prime minister that the opposition has. There is not a problem with the USA, but with a declaration non grata that is contestable", Baçi told MCN.
