Luciano Boçi spoke at a press conference about the measure against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and about the economic situation of Albanians for 2023.
Boçi said that the year 2023 was one of the most dramatic years for Albanian families in terms of the economy, health, as well as the political climate, referring to the 'house arrest' measure for Sali Berisha.
As for the civil disobedience, he said that the opposition will continue the fight against the government without return.
Bochi's full speech:
First of all, I want to wish you and all Albanians a happy and prosperous year and much success in your valuable work in transmitting and discovering the truth.
This is the first press conference of this year and the first that takes place in the absence of the chairman of the DP, Mr. Sali Berisha, politically arrested with mounted political investigations and with processes politically commanded and ordered by the head of the regime, by Edvin Rama, whose government was described by the prestigious German BILD as the BASTION OF SMUGGLING AND DRUGS.
The year 2023 that ended was one of the most dramatic years for Albanian families in terms of the economy, education, health and justice and one of the most tense years in terms of the political climate due to the unprecedented attack undertaken by this majority against opposition and its leader in order to eliminate it and eradicate pluralism.
Due to the misgovernance of this BASTION OF SMUGGLING AND DRUGS, due to capillary corruption in all sectors and hit by affairs and scandals involving incinerators, sterilization, but also others that are expected to surface, Albania slowed down its growth economic.
The well-being of citizens, the continuity and stability of businesses and the attraction of foreign investments were generally hit, indicating an unstable and problematic development.
Other recent EUROSTAT data show that Albanian families and individuals have the lowest disposable income in the region, including especially young people.
Also, according to EUROSTAT, almost 30% of their income goes to food alone, marking the highest percentage of expenses for this item in the region, when a European spends only 5% and a Serbian citizen only 15% of income.
Meanwhile. Prices for Albanians are 87% higher than the average of European countries.
Commanded inflation and increased energy prices, especially those of oil at record levels compared to the region as well as other products, significantly influenced the decrease in exports and the forced bankruptcy of many businesses and made life difficult for every citizen.
At the same time, Albania continued to lose its greatest asset, which is its human resources, especially the youth, which directly affected many economic and social aspects, due to the genocidal policies of the government.
Albanian education continued its free fall towards an inevitable sinking due to lack of funding, wrong policies and infrastructural decay, scandalous quality of teaching and lack of adaptation to new technological developments. Higher education languishes, while scientific research is almost non-existent. School abandonment, its destruction and educational discrimination continued to erode the dreams of children and young people for profession, career and graduation.
The PISA test proved Albania as one of the most backward countries in the world in terms of the quality of education, although the natural intelligence of Albanians has been rated as one of the highest.
Albanian health remained hostage to the corruption of affairs and scandals related to the concessions granted without criteria and in abusive forms and ways. The health security of Albanians did not improve and even decreased.
Justice, with the course followed, appeared as a political detachment of the left and as a political cobra to aggressively attack the opposition and its leadership.
Major affairs such as those of incinerators and sterilization were minimized with sentences with no essential connection to these scandals, at the level of second-rate officials, or with superficial charges, clearly hiding the activity of the structured criminal group led by Edvin Rama and are being accompanied by half-hearted investigations that demand at all costs to amnesty the leaders of the corrupt criminal acts of Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj.
Despite this, the political attacks against the head of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha and the opposition as a whole were absurd, arbitrary, unconstitutional and in violation of the laws.
The decisions of SPAK and GJKKO to arrest the head of the opposition with investigations, orders and political decisions, behind which Edi Rama stands, once again brought back the infamous methods used in the dictatorship by state security and the so-called popular justice.
I gjithë procesi nda Sali Berishës është një proces politik me objektiva e synime të qarta politike, për të heshtur dhe goditur jo vetëm in persona Sali Berishën, por për të heshtur dhe goditur en group e në themel Partinë demokratike, shoqërinë shqiptare, për të shuar të vërtetat denoncuese të dala prej saj dhe për ti shtruar rrugën këtij pushteti të korruptuar që ai të vendosë sundimin e tij.
Në sinkron me qëllimet politike të këtij procesi, ishte dhe vendimi i Gjykatës së Lartë, i cili mban pezull e tërheq zvarrë pa asnjë arsyetim ligjor statusin juridik të Partisë Demokratike duke mos konsideruar vullnetin e Kuvendit kombëtar të 11 dhjetorit dhe statutin e Partisë Demokratike.
Arena politike u dominua nga sulmet e dirigjuara të mazhorancës e cila hodhi në veprim kundër opozitës çdo aset kriminal, çdo antiligj, çdo para korrupsioni e çdo vendim parlamentar të korruptuar, për ta eliminuar, për ta përçarë e për t’i ngushtuar asaj hapësirën jetësore në parlament dhe përtej tij.
Zgjedhjet lokale të 2023 u dëshmuan si zgjedhjet më kriminale të zhvilluara ndonjëherë, të cilat varrosën përfundimisht procesin zgjedhor dhe votën e lirë të qytetarëve. Shantazhi, dhuna, agresioni ndaj votës e shitblerja e saj, u shtri në mënyrë kapilare në çdo qelizë të jetës së votuesit.
Administrata e kriminalizuar në veprimtarinë e saj, skalionet e krimit në shumë bashki dhe përfaqësuesit politik të së majtës u bënë një me qëllim goditjen zgjedhore me cdo kusht të opozitës.
Rama përdori çdo institucion e aset kriminal të mundshëm për të penguar përfaqësimin politik të Partisë demokratike dhe për ta përjashtuar atë nga çdo normalitet zgjedhor.
Vetë ai drejtoi sulmet politike dhe jopolitike ndaj kandidatëve të PD dhe po vetë ai shpërndau para nga buxheti i shtetit duke konsumuar haptazi në sy të gjithë botës krim elektoral, për të blerë vota dhe për të joshur shtresat e caktuara të shoqërisë.
Parlamenti nuk mungoi dhe ai të realizonte sulmin politik ndaj opozitës. Vendimet absurde për mosngritjen e komisioneve hetimore, ndryshimi më pas i ligjit për këto komisione dhe ndryshimi i rregullores për të dënuar deputetët e opozitës dhe fjalën e tyre të lirë shënuan një tjetër rekord kriminal në luftën që i ka shpallur mazhoranca, opozitës.
Përkundër kësaj, ne nuk u ndalëm dhe nuk ndalemi, nuk u gjunjëzuam, por vazhdojmë luftën tonë. Ne e shpëtuam opozitën dhe jemi në një përballje pa kthim për të mbrojtur pluralizmin e demokracinë dhe për t’i dhënë shqiptarëve një të ardhme të mirë e të plotë siç e meritojnë.

And we will offer Albanians hope and confidence in 2024 and beyond, proving to them not only our irrevocable action, but also revealing to them our alternative for a better and developed Albania, with a strong economy , with quality education, and service health.
A country that considers young people, the active workforce, pensioners, the needy, owners, businesses, teachers, doctors, researchers, that considers every Albanian regardless of where he lives.
