Of course, this situation suits the Prime Minister and increases the stagnation in the ranks of the opposition. The latter has been trying to find among its ranks who the "traitors" could be for at least a month...
Beyond any practice followed so far, Edi Rama continues to fanatically preserve the composition of the government cabinet, with which he will lead the country in his 4th consecutive term as Prime Minister.
And while in previous mandates he published the composition of the Government several weeks before the Parliament convened for the constituent session, this time, Rama has changed strategy. According to reports, he is waiting for the Parliament meeting and will then call the National Assembly of the Socialist Party, from where he will 'surprise' with the names he will appoint as ministers, to then continue with the Speaker of the Parliament, the head of the Socialist Party Group, or the heads of the parliamentary committees.
This new strategy followed by the Prime Minister to publish the names of members of the Government and any other level of party leadership within time limits would avoid comments to some extent, even if under the breath within the ranks of the Socialist Party, but would also catch the opposition unprepared.
So far, there has been no official announcement regarding the date of the Assembly meeting, although in close socialist circles there is talk of September 11th.
But what is striking in this entire period, from July 24 when Edi Rama held a meeting with ministers and MPs, in the form of an analysis regarding the fulfillment of objectives, no one is talking about what will happen.
The only answer given is: Edi Rama is unpredictable, he surprises. Even those who have been called to meetings with Edi Rama, in the form of consultations, or who may have been informed whether or not they will be part of the Government, give the same answer.
This is the first time, not only in the Socialist Party, but also in Albanian politics, that no one from the party that will govern the country in its 4th mandate has spoken regarding the composition of the Government.
More than a lack of information, it seems that the silence and avoidance of comments or revealing the 'secret' is related to the fear injected by Babloku, which has increased the doses to have the exclusivity of every development, in every field, even when there may be high public interest.
This situation is accompanied by various insinuations, including those made on 'television counters' as 'Babloku' calls TV shows, that Edi Rama will include names from the opposition in the Government. And not only insinuations, but in many cases it has also produced memes on social networks.
Of course, this situation suits the Prime Minister and adds to the stagnation in the opposition. The latter has been trying to find among its ranks who the "traitors" could be for at least a month, even though Edi Rama may not need opposition names in his cabinet at all, when he counts 83 socialist MP mandates, in addition to the 3 that PSD and Tom Doshi have, bringing the number of lawmakers he has on his side to 86.
And if you look at every statement or interpretation made in the traditional media or the social networks of the opposition led by Sali Berisha, it seems like a fait accompli that Edi Rama has decided to co-govern with names who have served in the DP. Berisha appears time and time again in media conferences and denounces what he considers to be the farce of May 11, referring to the elections, while the levels below him in the party pyramid seem to be calculating who could be the ones who will 'abandon' the ship that has been taking on water for some time.
Edi Rama threw the bait in this game, with the appointment of a local DP leader as head of the Vlora Cadastre, to then continue with the appointment of one of the Deputy Mayors of Tirana, one of the names that was once part of Fatmir Mediu's PR and then moved to Lulzim Basha's DP. /Pamphlet/
