Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, reacted after the meeting of the DP Presidency, where changes to the statute and the reorganization of the party were discussed.
Through a Facebook post, Tabaku stated that the Democratic Party must rebuild itself and open up more in order to face the majority.
" In the conditions in which the country finds itself today, the Democratic Party must find a way to rebuild itself. To regenerate itself. And this goes through the reorganization of the DP. If we want to face the majority, we need not only a political battle, but also political expansion ," writes Tabaku.
The Democratic MP emphasizes that the DP needs a more open and representative approach for Democrats.
" We need a party that opens up, that reaches out, that creates space for ideas, energy and real representation of democrats. The DP needs competition, meritocracy and fair systems that give everyone the opportunity to move forward with work and contribution ," she says.
Tabaku also reveals that some of her proposals for statutory changes have been accepted by the party.
" It is for this reason that some of the proposals I made for changes to the statute have been accepted. They are not the end of the road, but they are a step towards a more democratic, more open and more representative party ," declares the DP MP.
