The head of the DP group, Gazment Bardhi, has proposed that the review of the state budget draft law be postponed to the following week in order for this draft law to be accompanied by a fiscal package.
Bardhi dismissed the proposal from the statement of the finance minister, who said that the fiscal package is under review and will be ready next week.
The majority demands that the budget be approved today, but the opposition refuses, referring to the Assembly's rules of procedure.
"The special calendar that we approve today will not only include the review of the budget draft law, because the regulations tell us about a special calendar that also includes the fiscal package. We have not been in the leadership of the Assembly, since this Assembly was led by Gramoz Ruci, it has happened twice in 12 years that the Conference of Speakers has not accepted the presentation of the budget draft law without the fiscal package coming.
I invite you to respect the constitution. If the ministry requires 1 week to finalize the fiscal package, the calendar can be narrowed so that we can reach the approval deadlines within this year, but the budget draft law must come together with the financial draft laws. The minister just confirmed that he is preparing a package. Since he says it will come next week, let's approve it next week," said Bardhi.
