Opposition leader Sali Berisha has spoken again about the national protest held yesterday in Tirana. He described the rally as "a day of triumph" for opposition supporters.
In a communication with citizens, Berisha said that the protest was a "tooth for tooth" confrontation with the "narco-state", while describing the rally as an epic battle against the government.
"Yesterday was a day of triumph for the peaceful insurgents, who faced tooth and nail, for three hours, with the drug state, in an epic battle against the illegal government of Tirana, against Edi Rama, Lubi Balluku and their unrestrained thefts. The courage of the insurgents was extraordinary ," Berisha said.
He stated that during the protest, strong means were used to disperse the crowd, including rubber bullets and tear gas, while emphasizing that the violence exercised by the police has also affected minors.
" The protesters were shot with snipers, with gas canisters in the head, and even with kicks in the head. I condemn with the greatest force the violence and police terror. I condemn the selective shooting of citizens with gas canisters in the head of one of them, in the chest, the DP MP, Laçiano Boçi, and others with rubber bullets, with gas. I guarantee Edi Rama that he will be responsible for all of this," said the opposition leader.
