Former MP Aleksandër Biberaj has commented on the current situation of the Democratic Party, for which he said that the DP is divided into 500 pieces and no one is taking the initiative to unite it.
He said that from 1990 to today there has been no rotation in the PD and this has killed hope and confidence. According to him, investigative commissions are a constitutional right and Rama is changing it because he does not want the presence of the opposition.
" Undoubtedly, the PD is a national mirror and the concern is correct and every time we talk, things get worse and worse because the leaders don't listen. My colleagues are neither on earth nor in the sky, the PD is divided into 500 pieces and no one is take the initiative to bring it together.
Will we continue to stay with this government or will we come together to make a rotation, but PD does not have rotation even within its type. From the 90s until today, there is no rotation in the DP, because Basha was an artificial artifice.
Hope has been killed, trust, education has degraded, health care, salaries and pensions do not increase at all, so all layers of society are in a miserable state and this is lamentable.
Everyone is running away while my colleagues continue with their jobs when it is known that PD has resources, but you have to detach yourself from personal interests and you have to discuss causes.
We have to separate things, the opposition action in the parliament, that what Rama is doing in the parliament is not done by any kind of majority. Investigative commissions are a constitutional right and Rama is changing it because he does not want the presence of the opposition ," he said in "MCN".
He further added that the problem that Berisha has with justice is another problem and according to him they should not unite because this union makes the cause of the opposition unbelievable.
" The idea is that you have to divide, but if we go back to the local elections, Berisha should have resigned and left because we don't have time, he should have left without starting these problems of the judiciary if he wants to see a united DP that comes in power. He has lost faith because the protest was lukewarm, he has lost faith because he no longer has hope and faith ," Biberaj said.
Asked how he sees the position of Gazmend Bardhi, Biberaj said that he cannot be the future of the DP since he has not given anything politically.
" How can Gazmend Bardhi be the future of PD, it is a comedy tragedy to end up in his hands. Basha and Bardhi are the same system. There are endless intellectuals in PD, but it does not necessarily have to be worn out. Bardhi has not given any thing politically. The problem here is that there is no competition, since 2013 the competition has been killed. PD today is almost dry and will continue to dry and even more because the model of electing the leader by Berisha will fail.
Parties are not fiefdoms to bequeath to your son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter, monarchies are inherited, not parties in democracy. Berisha has spectacularly failed in the selection of collaborators and the biggest cost to the nation was the mentality he says he will guide. I've been looking for competition for a long time that only it brings out the best and winning candidate.
The race can unite an opposition people and bring rotation in 2025. The majority has 100% of the powers, and this is the fault of the opposition. I know how the government works, Rama knows everything that happens, the ministers he has like puppets and when they breathe they ask for permission. Nothing is done in the country without the knowledge of the prime minister. Everyone knows that this prime minister is the chief thief of a poor people. The revolution is not made by 40 deputies but by an entire people ," he said.
