The details of the meeting of the majority of DP deputies held this Wednesday between the group of Gazment Bardhi and Sali Berisha have been disclosed.
They have agreed that these deputies in the group will vote against 2 legal initiatives.
The two legal initiatives are:
10. Draft law "On the ratification of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the Federal Republic of Germany, for technical cooperation 2022 for the project "Circular economy for sustainable urban development in Albania".
12. Draft law "On some additions and changes to law no. 8577, dated 10.2.2000, "On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, amended.
The opposition to the first draft law comes after the MPs and allies of the Democratic Party say that the Albanian government has spent millions of euros on waste in dealing with incinerators.
As for the draft law for the Constitutional Court, they have expressed that they do not agree with the salary increase of only the members of the Constitutional Court, but think that if there should be an increase in salaries, they should be reflected in the entire justice system.
The grouping of Sali Berisha and the grouping of Gazment Bardhi held a meeting this Wednesday in the meeting hall of the Parliamentary Groups in the Presidency of the Assembly.
At the end of the meeting, in a statement to the media, Berisha said that the discussions of this meeting were focused on the agenda of the next day of the parliament.
Berisha said that the opposition will give the deserved answers for all the violations contrary to the law and the Constitution, the dysfunctional leadership and the violation by the institutions of the country of the basic rights of the deputies to be informed and to inform their constituents. .
On the other hand, Bardhi said that they will propose a legal package to increase pensions for the disabled. Bardhi said that they will also request a motion with a debate with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the issue of incinerators.
