Prime Minister Edi Rama has used the same scenario regarding decisions, especially in the allocation of positions and posts, surprising the names he appoints or dismisses from duties. At today's meeting of the National Assembly of the Socialist Party, Rama concluded all appointments and movements, both in the Parliamentary Group and the Assembly of Albania, but also in the Government.
He even chose to shock some and surprise others, even if only for a few minutes. The biggest shock was probably suffered by Ogerta Manastirliu, who held the position of Minister of Education, also had a mandate as an MP, but with the decision of Edi Rama she will enter the race for the Municipality of Tirana. In this way, Manastirliu will aim for the position of Erion Veliaj, the Mayor of Tirana, for whom the Prime Minister instructed or ordered the members of the Municipal Council to dismiss, paving the way for early elections for the Municipality of Tirana.
Manastirliu did not expect it, at least from what appeared in the 'live' footage, while Edi Rama described his decision as a 'bombshell' that Ogerta would not forgive.
Another name that was surprised by Rama was Niko Peleshi. Formerly a minister, but also the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group, Peleshi was entrusted with the position of Speaker of the Assembly. Peleshi claimed that he was not aware of such a decision, while for a few seconds after the articulation of this decision, Elisa Spiropali was fixed by the cameras 'confused'. Peleshi would take her place at the head of the Parliament. But it seems that Rama quickly resolved the situation, as he announced the transition of Spiropali, the former director of Customs in the first term as Prime Minister and then Minister of State and Speaker of the Assembly, to the post of Foreign Minister.
Mirela Kumbaro also appeared confused when she heard that Blendi Gonxha would be leaving the post as Minister of Tourism. But her confusion quickly passed, after Rama named Kumbaro as the new Minister of Education.
Anila Denaj, Ervin Hoxha, Bora Muzhaqi and Igli Hasani also appeared as characters who are not part of Edi Rama's new plans. They will simply remain MPs, although in recent weeks it was said that Igli Hasani would continue to hold the position of Foreign Minister.
But Edi Rama has made other choices, as he did in the case of Arbër Maznik and Ulsi Manja.
Both left the Government, while the Prime Minister has offered them new duties. Mazniku will head the Territorial Reform Commission, declared by the head of government as one of the missions for the next four years.
Meanwhile, former Minister Manja will return as chairman of the Laws Committee.
Among the surprises, in this case for the better, is Toni Gogu, who on May 11 failed to obtain a mandate as an MP, but on September 11, Rama announced that he would be part of the government. Gogu will cover the function of Minister for Relations with Parliament, a decision that surprised the former MP. /Pamphlet/
