The Socialist Party has proposed a draft resolution for the deepening of reforms for good governance, the rule of law and the fight against corruption for Albania 2030 in the European Union.
Socialist MP Toni Gogu called on the Albanian opposition to become part of this initiative. Gogu emphasized that the anti-corruption project is a nationwide project and therefore it is necessary for as many Albanians as possible to participate, including the opposition.
As for the justice reform, he said that the Socialist Party is the only one, ironically saying that one is "in the window" and the other "in the bars", meaning Berisha and Ilir Meta.
He emphasized that it will not be politics that will analyze where the justice system is lagging, but it will be the judiciary itself that will do it.
"We have an invitation for the Albanian opposition, because we did the justice reform with Saliu, because I heard here that they said that "they told him that they are black and how they extend the hand of consensus. This is a nationwide project and so we want as many Albanians as possible to become part of it. SP launched the justice reform alone in 2019 and demanded the National Pact for Justice. This is in the annals of history. That the Socialist Party is alone in the justice reform, it is clear that they left us alone on the road, one in the window and the other in the bars, and you know what they say. We are tight-lipped, we don't anathema at dinner and kiss in the morning. SP invites all Albanians and internationals. We don't know where the judiciary is lagging, the judiciary itself will analyze it" , said Gogu to Euronews.
