The opposition does not accept new elections with Edi Rama as prime minister. This was announced by the Democratic MP for the Fier district, Luan Baçi, as he spoke about preparations for the opposition's next protest.

Baçi said that the opposition's goal is not for the DP to come to power, but for citizens who suffer from social problems, poverty, salaries, pensions, flooded homes and other issues, for which Albanians must stand up.

Asked about the February 10 protest strategy that DP leader Sali Berisha declared during today's conference, the lawmaker said that he could not publish it, but guaranteed that it would be more powerful and unstoppable.

"I cannot give details about the opposition's protest strategy on February 10, you even heard it yourself, and Mr. Berisha did not give it. This is exclusive to the DP structures, I cannot say it and no one can say it. The structures know that the protests will be permanent and continuous, with different forms and methods. The work is also permanent and continuous, to reach the next protest, which will be stronger than the first and with a different organization. The protests will be unstoppable, our demands are clear," said Baçi.

He explained that the motives of the opposition movement are found in the manipulated elections of the Rama government and the recent scandals. The opposition MP expressed his conviction that the citizens would pour into the square in the next protest.

"The May 11 elections were manipulated, we have 6 international resolutions that document this process. We have the ODIHR report that says that the state became one and was put at the service of the SP to steal the May 11 elections. I am convinced that Albanians will pour into the streets and the protests will be unstoppable."

Baçi underlined that the DP does not want power at the table, but they would no longer accept elections with Rama as prime minister.

"We do not seek power on the table, we do not seek power by force even though it is stolen, we seek free and fair elections, without pressure and threats. Free and fair elections are not guaranteed with Prime Minister Rama. We want a government that guarantees free and fair elections. We do not accept elections with Rama as prime minister. Rama is servile to internationals and arrogant to citizens," he continued.

Baçi was also asked about the statements of the EU reporter for Albania, Andreas Schieder, given today during the press conference, where he called for not protesting with Molotov cocktails, as it was not good for the country.

The MP declared that "this regime doesn't even have enough Molotov cocktails."

"We are not in a democracy, we are in an autocracy. We are not in a functional democracy. The citizens' Molotov shows the anger of the citizens, symbolically shows the citizens, those who stay at home and businesses that do not join the protest, that they can no longer stand this regime and that the anger has reached its peak. The Molotov does not spoil anyone's work, it is symbolic. For such a regime, Molotov is not enough, I think even stronger movements are needed, the Prime Minister neither sees nor hears, he has the entire state under command. From this perspective, even the Europeans, if they are to see reality properly, not with the Prime Minister's propaganda, because the rule of law does not function here and there is no democracy," said Baçi from the "News 24" studio.
