"Sir, you don't want an election at all?", Qori debates with Tela

Arlind Qori, leader of the "Movement Together" party, debated with analyst Andi Tela on the "Të Paekspozuarit" show about Adriatik Lapaj's idea for a 1-year transitional government that will prepare free and democratic elections.

Qori opposed this idea, expressing his opposition, so as not to repeat the past, because, according to him, such a government would be a bit between Berisha and Rama.

Conversation

Qori: A technical government for those who vote for it is the greatest absurdity in politics. You can be the greatest intellectual and you will be accountable to the electorate that voted for you. In the Albanian Parliament, Edi Rama has 83 deputies, Sali Berisha has about 50 deputies and whoever is put in office will either carry out the orders of one or the other.

Tela: Lapaj is saying, let's gather a lot of people and demand a transitional government on behalf of the people, not gather 4-5 people.

Qori: Who will vote for that government?

Tela: It doesn't matter. There will be a popular protest that will force the one who governs to step down and leave the possibility of a transitional government. This is the fable that has been constructed. The question is how do you get to this point?

Qori: Let's say this happened. This is the dream.

Tela: He (Lapaj), is dreaming there.

Qori: Let's say that the pressure on Rama is so great and he says: I'm taking a step back. Now, excuse me, what does it cost Edi Rama to say: I resign and we have elections in 40 days. Because it's up to us to boycott the elections again.

Tela: Lapaj is not talking about early elections.

Qori: We say it's the only way for us to be saved.

Tela: This is not rational, because in 40 days, he does not get 83 mandates, but 93.

Qori: Why do you think that?

Tela: Because that's how it's been for the past 30 years.

Qori: Why don't you believe that the people have caught on?

Tela: Even on May 11th, it had come right to their noses.

Qori: Today Edi Rama seems weaker because the shackles are coming towards his hands. A technical government will be a government of the Berisha-Rama pact and everyone who will join them.

Tela: Sir, you don't want elections at all? You don't want Rama to have no say in the elections?

Qori: I can want many things, but things don't happen by magic. Things happen only when the conditions are right. The technical government means that Berisha and Rama get together and together destroy the justice reform, SPAK and GJKKO and further the Electoral Code. There have been 3 technical governments, drama and comedy and we don't want either drama or comedy. That's why they are calling for early elections, because we trust the Albanian people.
