"Without ending the conflict, there can be no coalition",

The vice-president of the DP, Kreshnik Çollaku spoke about the informal meeting between the head of the DP group, Gazment Bardhi and Flamur Noka for a possible reunion of the Democratic Party.

Invited to the "Opinion" column in News24, Çollaku said that the DP is in this situation due to the conflict within the party, while he listed the conditions for the merger of the Democratic Party.

He said that without ending the conflict, there can be no coalition for the unification of the party. Among other things, he said that the essence of the Democratic Party is how the relationship with the United States will be, referring to the fact that former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has been declared 'non-grata' by the USA and is now under 'house arrest' for the file 'Partisan'.

"Why are we in this state? DP has created large, broad coalitions and the situation was not desired. We are in this situation because of the conflict that started within the DP. The essence lies in the conflict in DP. It was not a matter of personal sympathy. I was divided by a matter of principle, where I think this was the dividing line. We asked for the DP to distance itself from the persons declared non-grata. One side solved it in one form, and the other side in another form. No one can avoid the heart of the problem. The principle issue is 1? What will be the relationship with the USA? The separation will be this, the relationship with the USA, conditional, unconditional? So as I said the essence is here, everything else can be solved. If we give this answer, everything else is solvable ", said the vice-president of the DP.
