The deputy of the Socialist Party, Arben Pëllumbi, has mentioned some of the infrastructural projects that are being worked on. He emphasized that part of these road and railway projects are being financed with EU funds, especially those projects that are railways.
"In my view, it is the continuation of the construction of the Arbri road, the construction of the Milot Morin road, the completion of the highway in its entire segment, the Orikum-Dukat road, the Llogara tunnel, the start of work on the new port in Porto Romano , the Tirana-Durrës-Rinas railway, and the concept of the government and the position that Albania has today in relation to the EU regarding road or railway networks are changing a lot because the networks are included in the European ones. Today we are able to request funds for the construction of these networks, especially railways. Tirana-Durrës-Rinas is being built, Vorë-Montenegro will continue, and the railway in the direction of North Macedonia, which can receive funding from the EU.
As for the railway of national interest between the port of Durrës and Prishtina, it is not a project that has found support from the EU with funds. It will be moved forward by the two governments. Expansion of the Elbasan-Qafë Thane axis. In the part of North Macedonia, the work has started and we are in the part where we need an agreement on where this road should pass in the places where it joins because it cannot join where the Qafë Thana tunnel is today because there is a big dislevel. Vlora airport is being completed, we are looking at the possibility of building another airport in the south, in Saranda" , said the MP.
Meanwhile, the democratic deputy Oriola Pampuri mentioned the case of the Arbër road, for which she said that although the PD started it, the socialist government has not completed it for many years. She also stopped successful tourism this year, saying that it is not the merit of the government while mentioning some problems.
"The only road where you can see the trucks working is that of the Llogara tunnel. We have the Arbri road, which in so many years really started DP and in 10 years you couldn't finish it. Regarding tourism, I want to ask a rhetorical question. What has SP done for tourism? Tourists just came, there was a high number, I won't deny it, but if you ask the hotels and the owners, those who faced the challenges had a shortage of employees because a good part of them left. You use the tourism part, but it is of no value to you" , said Pampuri for "Abcnews".
