After the US, Britain sends a message to Rama and Berisha not to mess with SPAK:
Britain in support of SPAK

The British government strongly supported SPAK: Continue to crack down on the corrupt...

After the US, Albanian politics has also received a strong message from Great Britain not to be confused with the Special Prosecution Office and the justice reform. Sali Berisha continues to attack SPAK and Altin Dumani, while Rama told us after Veliaj's arrest that he has a secret plan to attack the reform after the elections.

In the DASH report on drug trafficking, the work of SPAK was appreciated and reform was requested. But the British are also in line with them. London has issued a statement at the UN on Albania's progress. Our country has been positively assessed in the Universal Periodic Review.

Britain welcomes this, as it focuses on justice.

We support Albania’s progress in judicial reform to improve the integrity of its judiciary, to fight corruption and organized crime. We welcome our bilateral partnership, appreciating educational exchanges between judicial systems. Furthermore, we commend Albania for its cooperation in the field of criminal justice, in seeking to protect the state and citizens from criminal interests ,” the report states.

Further support is given to SPAK. Britain asks the Special Prosecution Office to continue its crackdown on corrupt officials.

We welcome the establishment of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) in 2019, which has made progress in addressing serious corruption cases. We call on Albania to remain steadfast in the fight against corruption: strengthening the independence of its judicial authorities, including SPAK, to act without undue interference or political oversight ,” it further emphasizes.

The document mentions gender equality and support for abused women, while also containing a message for the April 11 elections.

" In the year of parliamentary elections, we call on Albania to implement all outstanding OSCE recommendations to improve the process ," the British government emphasizes. / Pamphlet
