After tensions and clashes in the Assembly hall, the leader of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, took the floor again to clarify the situation that led to fierce debates between the majority and the opposition.
Balla earlier clashed with the Democrats after addressing MP Albana Vokshi: " 0900, I have this number for you, Albana ." After the debates, the session was interrupted and resumed a little earlier, but with tensions. Balla took the floor again to clarify the situation.
" Mr. Speaker, I spoke a moment ago and found myself unable to continue my speech. I would like to congratulate socialist and democratic women and girls on March 8th and express my full respect to all of them. To all of them, to all of them who deserve this congratulations, because here we have sisters from both sides of the hall.
I understand very well that this has nothing to do with what was once again misunderstood in that word. But, but I would have really liked, and I also said this to the girls and women of my parliamentary group, that we had reacted in some way when one of my colleagues here was insulted, with discriminatory language, and no apology was even asked.
Now, Mr. Speaker, on behalf of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, without further ado, because this entire situation must be clarified in the voting and ethics secretariat, undoubtedly, with all the requests, from all parties.
I saw that no apology was made and no effort was made to apologize for what was said to my family, my family and my sisters from the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, whom I love very much. And yet, this is an issue that will be clarified ," he said.
Balla emphasized that the situation should be addressed institutionally by the relevant structures of the Assembly, while debates among deputies continued in strong tones even after the session resumed.
