The former candidate for president of the Democratic Party, Ibsen Elezi, says that the opposition, with the political figures it has, is incapable of bringing innovation and change to the citizens.
In an interview for "Tirana Live" on ABC News, Elezi said that Sali Berisha betrayed the Democrats.
According to Elez, in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the vote of the right-wing electorate will go to other parties, as a punishment for Berisha and PD.
"The political situation is almost configured in such a division, today we have a position, the main opposition, DP and a group of new parties. The opposition and the position have come to an agreement and have reached the goal of giving less space to the new parties and the DP itself. In the coming months, apart from the empty, deceptive movements, this does not seem to me to be anything serious on the part of the opposition. How credible is she with what she says and the political personalities she has. There is no possibility of today's opposition to give innovation to the public opinion. There are people with low image and failed political actions continuously. There must be political movement, especially from new parties. Berisha's strongest defense and weapon is anti-Berizism. This has to do with the model that Berisha has created. Bersha has betrayed the fundamental belief of the democrats. Berisha doesn't understand, he can't mock and hold the Democrats with banners from the balcony. Most Democrats are disappointed. This right-wing electorate will go to their parties. I don't believe that the Freedom Party benefits, it has turned into a party hated by public opinion", he emphasized.
