Democratic MP Tomor Alizoti speaks out against the expulsion of Ervin Salianjaj from the Democratic Party, while emphasizing that we cannot expel people who contribute to the DP just because they have different opinions.
On the show "This Week" on News24, Alizoti said that just as he opposed the exclusions that Lulzim Basha wanted to make from the DP for those who had different opinions with him, he would do the same now.
"The party does not belong to anyone, the party is a voluntary union of people, when a person contributes to the DP, and identifies with the DP, he is not excluded. I am for every individual who is within the party so that there are no exceptions. They have their own opinions, so we have suffered for 50 years, so that we can have free opinions.
"I have a belief, I remember once when Basha wanted to expel Myslim Murriz and I was against it ," said Alizoti.
On the other hand, the Democratic MP considers Sali Berisha's political weight in the DP to be very important and great. He stated that the leader of the DP is the person with the most shares in this party.
" It remains an important factor. In these real moments of politics, these are the important political factors. To build leadership, you need a long time in politics, a leader is not built by appearing on TV and speaking nicely. It takes time to mature. Both Merkel and Berisha have spent a long time in politics and she has made them leaders. Even in the CDU, this happened when Merkel closed her mission and left space for politics. This could also happen in the DP, but this is Berisha's decision. So he gives direction to the DP, he takes the DP to another stage ," said Alizoti.
