Adriatik Lapaj, the leader of "Albania Becomes" has announced the placement of tents under Edi Rama's office, in front of the Prime Minister's Office. On the 90th day of the protest, Lapaj has called on Albanians to join the protests against what he considered theft, stating that the action will not stop.
"We are facing the most corrupt government in Europe. I call on citizens to unite against theft," he said.
The decision to set up the tent comes a day after the Prosecution decided not to initiate criminal proceedings against him and supporters of "Albania Becomes" in connection with the January 4 protest, where there was a violent action by the State Police to remove an improvised tent, where members of this party stayed during the cold nights.
Lapaj said that the prosecutor in the case had cited the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, the European Convention on Human Rights and stated that the right to protest is non-negotiable and does not require permission.
In this context, the leader of "Albania Becomes" said that setting up the tent is completely legitimate and he did not waste time setting up a small tent.
