The resistance of the "Albania Becomes" activists lasted only a few minutes, as the police violently intervened by removing a small tent, symbolically placed, and several gas heaters, which the protesters standing in front of the Prime Minister's Office use in the cold hours of the night.
Dozens of police officers, several times more than the number of protesters, intervened violently, seizing tents, chairs, and heaters, claiming that public space had been occupied.
Adriatik Lapaj said that criminalized segments of the Police have intervened violently, sparing no one to remove the tent and heaters. According to Lapaj, the police even spared a quadriplegic, who was in a wheelchair and had joined the protest, in their intervention.
"The police steal everything they can get their hands on. Some of their leaders are connected to crime. We've seen how they get fired. Every honest employee I meet tells me they've been taken hostage by gangs. These people come like hyenas and take whatever they can get their hands on," he said.
Following this, Lapaj and his supporters began chanting "Edi Rama, you thief, you thief," while they have been protesting in front of the Prime Minister's Office for 90 days.
