The Mayor of Durrës, Emiriana Sako, has been reported to SPAK following the flooding situation in the city, which also resulted in the first victim in the country.
Ilirjana Kuçana, member of the DP National Council, was today at SPAK where she reported the Municipality of Durrës, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Drainage Directorate for "abuse of office".
She told the media that the Municipality of Durrës has made an investment of around 19 million euros for the dam, where Mayor Sako herself has stated that Durrës will no longer have problems with flooding.
Kuçana has called on the head of SPAK to personally deal with this complaint, as it concerns 400 thousand residents of Durrës.
"The case has been dismissed for lack of jurisdiction by the Durrës Prosecutor's Office, which has "washed" 33 thousand euros with Ergys Agas's bottle of wine and to this day I have not been summoned and have no information about what happened with the 2025 flood. Let's go back to the 2026 flood. We have an investment of around 19 million euros for the hydropower plant where Mrs. Sako herself, in her status, says that Durrës will no longer have problems with flooding. Not only has it been under water for 3 days, but you have seen that these people have also managed to flood Gjirokastra. You understand what a structured criminal gang they are. I call on the new head of SPAK Klodian Barahos to deal personally and seriously with this complaint, since it concerns 400 thousand residents of Durrës and not only, since other areas have also been flooded.
