The breach in the Droje River embankment has significantly worsened the situation in the Adriatic village of Kurbin, but also in the two villages of Fushë Krujë, Dukagjin i Ri and Miliska.
As a result, dozens of families have been isolated for four days, while the water level is rising by the hour.
Residents say they are facing numerous difficulties, as they lack the ability to move, while the situation is also worsening due to the lack of food for livestock.
They request immediate intervention from relevant institutions to avoid further deterioration of the situation.
"I am 78 years old. My name is Liza, we have been isolated for 2 days. Those who are about to leave are leaving, we are here. This flood has never happened before," an elderly woman, a resident of the village of Adriatik, told "Report TV".
"My house is halfway filled with water. This work is not done today, but it has been like this for 35 years. We pave the road ourselves... The situation is due to the crack in the embankment, God willing, a piece of concrete will be made there ," said another citizen of the Adriatik village.
"They are going to harm us with slaves, not with sheep and cows. My old man is dying there. My house is submerged in water. I have been in the water for 4-5 days. Leave the cows and sheep alone, because they are completely gone. But I also have a sick old man," said another citizen of the Adriatik village of Kurbin.
Meanwhile, the Municipality of Kruja announces that in the two villages affected by the floods, water has entered about 50 homes.
"As a result of the breach in the Droje River embankment, there are floods in two villages: Dukagjin i Ri and Miliska. In the village of Miliska, water has entered homes, affecting 50 families. Teams from the Durrës Drainage Board are on the ground to deal with the situation," the Krujë Municipality said in a statement.
