Floods, Rama's message to MPs: Stand by the people, not the voters!

Prime Minister Edi Rama convened the Civil Emergencies Committee today, due to the situation created by the floods. 

During the meeting, where ministers were also present, Rama instructed the deputies to be present in their areas, close to the people and not the voters. 

"In cooperation with the defense, infrastructure or the Ministry of Agriculture, we will make sure that what is programmed for 2026 is reprogrammed to address these points where construction has taken place. We will bring the entire process of this infrastructure to the end. It is enough to look at all the hectares covered by water today and in the past to understand the incomparable change. A second cycle of interaction will be carried out through the present authorities and mayors. Deputies should be present in all their areas to care for people, not voters. Let's make it possible for the entire compensation process to be as complete, fair and efficient as possible,"  he said.
