After the physical clash on "Big Brother VIP Albania", where Jozi slapped Gjesti - a situation that was widely discussed online as a clash "between Albania and Kosovo" - the leader of the PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi, has also reacted.
In this climate of unnecessary tension, Idrizi reacted during a meeting with the “Çamëria” Association at his party headquarters. He considered this wave of discord as a typical example of manipulating national sensitivities for low purposes, saying that he was seeing a huge uproar on social networks, an unnecessary discord, just because someone from Albania hit someone from Kosovo.
He further emphasized that social media was filled with “useful idiots who, perhaps unknowingly, serve the malicious interests of Athens and Belgrade.” For Idrizi, the case is nothing more than a banal television event that should not have any national significance.
Stressing the importance of national unity in the face of futile provocations, Idrizi concluded his statement with words that were applauded: “The smallest reason to promote differences… What unites us is not great – it is everything.” A clear message not to fall prey to virtual manipulations and not to allow spectacle to replace brotherhood.
