The motion for debate on the problems identified by the State Department regarding the investment climate in Albania was approved through a vote in the Assembly to be held on May 14.
The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, said that the approval is completely in violation of the Assembly's regulations.
"It is completely in violation of the Assembly's regulations. The regulations oblige you to propose, when there is no understanding, a date that cannot be later than 30 days from the date of submission of the motion. I don't know how you calculate 30 days and 5 months because our request is dated November 5, 2025. You propose that the motion be held in the first, second or third week of May. This is your personal violation. You continue to violate the regulations in every session," said Bardhi.
Bardhi said that there is no transparency towards the opposition and that it has not been made aware of these laws, despite requests.
"You do not deign to inform the opposition what the list of laws necessary for the integration process is. We have requested it more than 10 times, practically at every meeting of the conference of mayors. Come and wave a list and say you will not vote. How are we supposed to know what the laws are when we do not know them? Let us know what the laws are! We have requested cooperation and we have been denied the minimum transparency to know these draft laws ," said Bardhi.
